Alex Cobb tossed one of his best games of the year, David Fletcher extended his hitting streak and the Angels picked up the 9-4 win over the Mariners.
Fletcher didn’t have to keep us hanging for long, as he led off the bottom of the first inning with a double, extending his league-leading hitting streak to 26. He’s now two away from tying the franchise-record 28 game hitting streak that was set by Garret Anderson in 1998.
For the game, Fletcher had three doubles and drove in five runs. During this streak, Fletcher has been one of the best hitters in all of baseball.
