C.J. Cron was so inconsistent that he was sent to the minors on June 22nd. When the LA Angels recalled Cron two weeks later it was out of desperation. This time around Cron started to click. On July 16th with Angels in a dogfight with the Tampa Bay Rays, Cron came up in the bottom of the 8th in a tie game. Cron was patient and got a pitch he could drive the opposite way. The result was a pinch hit two-run homer that won the e game for the Angels.
Cron didn’t stop there hitting another big two-run homer against the Washington Nationals to ignite a 7-0 Angels victory.
