The Angels optioned right-handers Parker Bridwell and Nick Tropeano, catcher Juan Graterol and infielders Kaleb Cowart and Nolan Fontana to Triple-A Salt Lake on Thursday.
Bridwell, 26, had a strong rookie campaign for Los Angeles in 2017, posting a 3.64 ERA and 1.20 WHIP in 21 appearances (20 starts). But in six Cactus League appearances (three starts), he struggled to a 7.91 ERA over 19 1/3 innings.
Tropeano, 27, was coming off recovery from Tommy John surgery when he made his Cactus League debut on Feb. 23.
