Each successive list was another slap to the Angels organization.
Throughout the winter, various outlets – MLB.com, Baseball America, ESPN – ranked the farm systems throughout baseball.
They agreed on the Angels, ranking them dead last.
First-year general manager Billy Eppler, who is now tasked with fixing it, doesn’t concede the ranking, but he does acknowledge the problem.
“You know when you walk in the door that there is a major objective in front of you, and that’s to rebuild a farm system,” said Eppler, who took over in October.
