ANAHEIM -- The Angels placed right-hander Andrew Bailey on the 10-day disabled list on Wednesday, retroactive to Monday, with right shoulder inflammation.
Bailey last pitched against the Mariners on Sunday and had posted three scoreless innings over his first three outings of 2017, but he began feeling discomfort in his shoulder on Monday.
"His shoulder acted up a little bit, so we're just going to take a little step back," manager Mike Scioscia said. "We want to be very conservative with Andrew. He threw the ball so well coming back at the end of last year.
