MILWAUKEE -- The Angels finally got some good news, relatively speaking, on their starting rotation candidates.
Tyler Skaggs was diagnosed on Monday with biceps tendinitis and will rest for another week before being re-evaluated, the Angels announced.
Skaggs, who is rehabbing from Tommy John surgery, felt some discomfort in his shoulder while throwing last week at Triple-A Salt Lake City, so the Angels shut him down and brought him to Southern California for an MRI and evaluation.
The news could have been worse. Shoulder problems are typically more serious than elbow issues.
The Angels currently have only four healthy starters in the majors of the eight they had at the start of spring training.
