The Angels signed an undrafted free agent this week, so far the first one reported to date. Outfielder Elijah Greene, a redshirt junior from Cal Poly, has signed on with the Angels.
Greene hit .269/.332/.309 in 56 games in 2019, and was 8-for-34 (.235) this year before the coronavirus pandemic shut down the college baseball season after just 13 games.
The left-hander played high school ball at Chino Hills High, then redshirted a year at San Diego State before transferring to Mt. San Antonio College, where he hit .428 and was named a second-team All-American from the American Baseball Coaches Association.
