Angels sign starting pitcher John Lamb to minor league deal

The days are beginning to blend into one another...each day indistinguishable from the next. This is what happens when the Angels decide to sign some low-risk arms seemingly every day this offseason.

Today’s addition to the Groundhog Day-tinged group of arms is John Lamb, a 26 year old, 6’4 lefty who was drafted in 2008 by the Kansas City Royals, but was shipped to the Cincinnati Reds organization for the last two seasons.

In those two seasons in Cincy, he got some looks at the big league level but didn’t do much to impress. 2015 had him starting 10 games, going 1-5 with a 5.
