Efren Navarro's time with the Angels is officially over.
The Angels traded Navarro to the Baltimore Orioles on Tuesday, after designating him for assignment last week to make roster space for Al Alburquerque. The Angels will receive cash considerations for Navarro.
Navarro, 29, had been in the Angels system since they drafted him in the 50th round in 2007. He reached the majors for the first time in 2011. In sporadic major league duty since then, Navarro had hit .246 with a .303 on-base percentage. An excellent defensive first baseman, Navarro also made the transition to left field.
