The Los Angeles Angels placed left-hander Matt Moore on the 15-day injured list Tuesday with elbow soreness and purchased the contract of right-hander Ryan Miller from Triple-A Salt Lake.
To make room for Miller on the 40-man roster, outfielder Mike Trout (knee) was moved from the 15-day IL to the 60-day IL.
Moore, 35, was removed from his outing against the Toronto Blue Jays on Sunday due to elbow issues. He was 5-3 with a 5.03 ERA in 51 relief appearances this season and is 71-66 with a 4.
