Angels roar back with a six-run 7th in Heaney’s return

Regardless of the outcome today, Andrew Heaney was the big story on the Angels side in his return from yet another arm injury. Despite the two solo dingers he surrendered, he did quite well for himself, striking out 8 across 5 innings and giving up two runs.

Between Hunter Pence and Choo’s homers and Taylor Cole’s disastrous three-run 6th, it appeared the Angels wouldn’t score enough runs to win the game in the first place.

Mike Trout scored the only run (HR) the Angels sniffed until the 7th, where the team pieced together six runs with the help of Rangers pitching, including two wild pitches and several extra-base hits.
