The Angels reportedly added a piece to their bullpen on Friday, agreeing to a Major League contract with free-agent right-hander Al Alburquerque, according to Jon Heyman of MLB Network. The club has not confirmed the deal.
Alburquerque was non-tendered by the Tigers in December after posting a 4.21 ERA over 67 relief appearances last season. The 29-year-old walked 33 and struck out 58 over 62 innings.
