Los Angeles Angels reliever Keynan Middleton was removed from Sunday's game against the Twins in the top of the eighth inning with a 1-1 count on Minnesota's Eddie Rosario.
The Angels said after their 2-1 victory over the Twins that Middleton was removed with right elbow discomfort. He will have an MRI on Monday, the team said.
Middleton just came off the disabled list on Thursday. He was placed on the DL on May 2 with elbow inflammation.
Middleton threw just 12 pitches and recorded two outs Sunday before he was removed.
