Angels recall Kyle Kubitza to replace injured David Freese

Kyle Kubitza, who spent 12 games with the Angels last month, was recalled on Thursday because of David Freese's broken finger.

ANAHEIM – Kyle Kubitza got the call from Triple-A to replace David Freese, who was placed on the disabled list on Thursday after breaking his finger on Wednesday night.

Kubitza was not in the Thursday’s starting lineup because he was not scheduled to arrive from Tacoma, where Salt Lake City was playing on Wednesday night, around the time of the start of the Angels game on Thursday afternoon.
