Angels overcome four-run deficit, then hold on in ninth to stun Royals 7-6

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Just when the Angels seemed to be at their lowest, they pulled out what is certainly their most improbable victory of the season.

Trailing by four runs in the eighth inning, against the team with the best record in the American League, with one of the best bullpen tandems in the majors, the Angels rallied for a 7-6 victory over the Kansas City Royals on Thursday night.

The Angels scored two runs against Wade Davis and four against closer Greg Holland on their way to snapping a nine-game road losing streak, their longest in 32 years.
