Angels offense wakes up late in series-winning victory over Twins

A day after the bats went quiet, the offense woke up in the Angels’ series-clinching 6-2 victory over the Twins.

A day after the Angels went scoreless over the final eight innings, the Twins did the exact same thing. Minnesota scored two runs in the first inning but were held without a run over the remainder of the game. Jaime Barria allowed back-to-back homers to begin the game but shut Minnesota down the rest of the way.

Barria tossed seven innings and allowed only two runs. Over the final 27 recorded outs, Minnesota recorded only two more hits.
