CHICAGO – The Angels' offensive revival turned out to be short-lived.
A night after they scored five first-inning runs in a rout of the Chicago White Sox, they lost 5-0 to the White Sox on Tuesday night.
The Angels reverted to their form of Sunday, when they finished a 12-inning loss in Minnesota with an 0-for-27. It took them until the fifth inning to get a hit against Mat Latos on Tuesday.
They had just two runners in scoring position all night, and in one case they actually got a hit but not a run.
Andrelton Simmons was thrown out at the plate in the seventh, when he tried to score from second on C.
