Angels Notes: Geovany Soto scratched with sore knee

ANAHEIM -- Catcher Geovany Soto was scratched from Sunday's lineup because of discomfort in his left knee.

Soto just came back from surgery on his right knee, playing in two games since returning.

Carlos Perez remained in the lineup at Triple-A Salt Lake City, which would indicate Soto's injury isn't serious enough to land him back on the disabled list.

Soto is one of the Angels candidates to be traded before the Aug. 1 deadline. Soto, 33, is hitting .284 with an .811 OPS, although in just 22 games this season.
