Angels Notes: Cam Bedrosian's new pitch is being grown down on the farm

TEMPE, Ariz. – The family farm in Senoia, Ga., beckons for Cam Bedrosian every offseason.

Bedrosian grew up on the 120 acres of countryside that once raised horses and now grows wheat, and he returns there because it is still home and because he can see his father, Steve Bedrosian, who pitched in the major leagues for 14 seasons and won a Cy Young Award in 1987.

The left-handed reliever leans on him for advice, as the elder Bedrosian has helped develop and refine his pitches. They also lift weights together in an Atlanta suburb.

For Cam Bedrosian, his next puzzle to solve is to develop a reliable off-speed pitch, something that has eluded him before.
