Anthony Rendon didn’t play in Tuesday’s 8-3 loss to the Rays, one day after fouling a ball directly off his left knee. For reinforcements, the Angels played non-roster invitee roulette, selecting the contract of infielder Phil Gosselin and designating Scott Schebler for assignment.
Gosselin got the start against the Rays, and went 0-for-4 with a pair of strikeouts.
Rendon for now is considered day to day. Jeff Fletcher of the Orange County Register has more:
