SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. – The Angels could be bringing back free agent reliever Andrew Bailey, who had an impressive September after the Angels grabbed him off the scrap heap.
“I’ve had conversations with him and I think we could potentially get something done,” Angels GM Billy Eppler said Monday, the first day of the GM Meetings.
Bailey, 32, was the American League rookie of the year with the Oakland A’s in 2009, his first of three straight outstanding seasons as Oakland’s closer.
After that, though, his career was derailed by injuries, including one that cost him nearly two years.
