BOCA RATON, Fla. – Days into the free agent season, the Angels are casting a wide net, not ready to rule out anything.
“We’ll canvass all of the free agent market, at all tiers,” general manager Billy Eppler said on Monday from the GM meetings. “I have spoken to a lot of people. A good number of agents. We are having conversations and outlining what we’d like to accomplish.”
Saturday was the first day teams could negotiate with free agents from other clubs.
Despite Eppler’s insistence the Angels will consider anything, that decision ultimately belongs to owner Arte Moreno.
