SEATTLE – Mike Trout emerged from his car accident shaken but seemingly unharmed.
“I’m just very fortunate,” Trout said Friday. “It could have been a lot more serious. It’s a scary thing for sure.”
Trout’s Mercedes struck another vehicle on the 55 freeway around 9 p.m. on Wednesday, sending a 27-year-old woman to the hospital with what the California Highway Patrol report described as “major” injuries. Typically, that means the injuries are not life-threatening.
No update on the woman’s condition was available as of Friday evening.
Asked Friday about the incident, Trout said he couldn’t give many details because the official report of the accident is not yet completed.
