HOUSTON - The Angels acquired more two veteran corner outfielders in separate deals Tuesday, picking up David Murphy from the Cleveland Indians and David DeJesus from the Tampa Bay Rays.
The deals come a day after the Angels acquired another outfielder, Shane Victorino, in a trade with the Boston Red Sox.
David Murphy, 33, is batting .296 with five homers and 27 RBI in 84 games this season. He has an option for $7M for next season.
The Angels sent right-hander Eduar Lopez to the Rays to acquire DeJesus, who also bats left-handed. DeJesus, 35, is hitting .
