It means absolutely nothing in the record books, but it’s always nice to pick up a victory. The Angels kicked off their spring with a 5-2 win over the Giants on Sunday afternoon.
The scoring began in the second inning when the Halos put two on the board. Taylor Ward brought in Juan Lagares with a sacrifice fly and then Anthony Bemboom drove in Jo Adell with a single.
The Angels added two more runs in the third inning, as the first four hitters reached base for LA. Jared Walsh singled, Adell walked and Lagares singled to load the bases for Luis Rengifo.
