TEMPE, Ariz. – Kaleb Cowart’s career could hardly have made a more drastic turn in the past 12 months.
A year ago, the former Angels top prospect had fallen so far on the organizational depth chart he wasn’t even invited to big league camp, after being invited in previous years.
When the season began, he was demoted to Class-A, after playing the previous two years in Double-A.
But now, Cowart is back in big league camp, and with actual major league numbers on the back of his baseball card.
“It’s unbelievable,” Cowart said. “I can’t really put into words how it feels from where I came from to where I am.
