After trailing for majority of the game, the Angels rallied in the late innings to get back in the win column, beating the Athletics, 6-5.
Entering the bottom of the seventh inning, the Angels trailed by two runs. With one out, David Fletcher drew a walk to bring the tying run up to the plate. Justin Upton then singled, bringing up the go-ahead run to the plate. On the first pitch he saw, Jose Rojas singled in a run, cutting LA’s deficit to only one.
After Anthony Rendon walked, the bases were loaded. With Shohei Ohtani on the bench, he was called upon in the biggest stage of the game.
