The Angels offense was handcuffed by Justus Sheffield and friends on Sunday afternoon in Seattle, falling 2-0 to the Mariners in the Halos’ first shutout loss of the season.
Sheffield limited the Angels to just two singles in six innings, dropping them to 1-4 in games started by opposing left-handed pitchers. Despite just the two hits off Sheffield and five hits in the game, the Angels also walked three times and were hit by two pitches. But they could not cash any of them in, thanks to 0-for-8 with runners in scoring position and three double plays.
