The Angels found no relief in a 10-7 loss to the Mariners on Wednesday night, with the bullpen blowing two separate leads in its worst game of the season.
Andrew Heaney had another solid start, allowing one run in his first five innings. He started the sixth, too, but was removed after a five-pitch walk to J.P. Crawford to lead off the frame. That proved the beginning of the end for the Angels, whose bullpen found surrendered leads on multiple occasions.
Up first was Mike Mayers, who allowed two singles to allow Heaney’s run to score, then a double to allow a run of his own.
