Let's not bury the lede, okay? Everyone wants to know how Sean Newcomb did, right?
Class A Advanced: Inland Empire 66ers
Not too great. Duke went 3.1 innings and surrendered five runs (three earned) while walking five batters and fanning only three. Reliever Ryan Etsell really opened the floodgates, though, by giving up five earned runs in 2.1 IP. The offense did its part, plating nine runs, led by Bo Way's impressive 2-RBI, 3-for-5 performance in which he hit a triple.
Triple-A: Salt Lake Bees
Both Cron and Kubitza hit home runs, and Drew Rucinski did a nice job of holding the potent Dodgers' lineup to only two runs, each coming off of a solo homer.
