Angels' failure to hit with men on base a growing problem as they fall to White Sox in 13th

CHICAGO – The Angels are lacking in runs, not opportunities.

The Angels lost, 3-2, in 13 innings to the Chicago White Sox on Wednesday night, going hitless in 15 at-bats with runners in scoring position.

The Angels have lost nine straight road games, their longest streak since 1993.

The White Sox won it on Avisail Garcia’s one-out double. Jose Abreu led off the bottom of the 13th with a single against Cesar Ramos, and then Garcia lined one into left center, allowing Abreu to come around with the winning run.

By contrast, the Angels could not get a clutch hit.
