BALTIMORE -- Right-hander Felix Pena went 5 1/3 scoreless innings in his third career start and Andrelton Simmons had four hits as the Angels broke out for a 7-1 win over the Orioles to open a three-game set on Friday night at Camden Yards.
Mike Trout marked his return to center field by hitting his 24th homer of the season -- and first since June 12 -- off rookie starter David Hess (2-5).
Martin Maldonado also homered off rookie Ryan Meisinger, who was making his Major League debut, and Justin Upton completed a 3-for-5 performance with a single off Paul Fry, another O's reliever making his debut.
