The Angels placed closer Huston Street on the 15-day disabled list with a left oblique strain Thursday. They will make a corresponding move Friday, likely recalling a reliever from triple-A Salt Lake to join their bullpen for a six-game trip to Texas and Milwaukee.
Prime candidates appear to be right-handers Cam Bedrosian, the owner of a 3.24 earned-run average with the Bees this season, and Al Alburquerque, who has a 3.00 ERA.
Bedrosian, 24, opened the season with the Angels but was sent down after making two appearances. Alburquerque, 29, has not yet pitched for the Angels after spending all of the last three seasons with Detroit.
