The Angels have relied heavily on C.J. Cron at first base this season. Cron was having a great year prior to his injury. In his last fifteen games he had a BA of .357, six home-runs and 20 RBIs. As a result of his injury, Cron wasn’t able to get going in his rehab assignments in Triple-A with the Salt Lake Bees. This past week had a .150 average and two RBIs.
While Cron’s return is a boost for the Angels offense, it will take time for him to return to .357 BA he had before he suffered a broken hand in early July.
