LOS ANGELES — Mike Trout will miss the first game of the Angels’ three-game exhibition series against the Dodgers on Thursday night because of flu-like symptoms.
Angels manager Mike Scioscia said he expected Trout to be back in the lineup on Friday night at Dodger Stadium.
The centerfielder last played in a game on Monday, a Cactus League contest against the Chicago Cubs, where he went 1 for 2 with a solo home run.
In 49 at-bats this spring, he has hit .388 with four home runs, 15 RBIs and 14 runs scored. He has also stolen three bases.
