The Angels actually had more hits than the Athletics on Friday night. That’s great and all, but they had zero runs to show for it as they fell to Oakland, 2-0. For the game, the Halos were 0-for-7 with runners in scoring position and stranded seven runners on base.
LA’s first chance to do damage came in the fourth inning, as they had first and second with two outs. Brandon Marsh struck out on three pitches to end the rally. There was another chance the following inning, as Adam Eaton doubled with one out. However, they couldn’t even advance the runner and got back-to-back outs.
