Blake Parker was one of, if not THE, best surprises of the Halos’ 2017 season. The 32-year-old righty was an after thought heading into last year, and rightfully so. Here was a guy who had been claimed off of waivers THREE times in the span of a few months, and who had been chipping away at the MLB dream for ten years but had never had that big breakout. Billy Eppler saw something in Parker, though, and while other teams were afraid to commit to him, he brought the unproven arm into the Angels’ bullpen fold.
