ARLINGTON -- The Angels continued their record-matching pace to the start of the season by striking early and going on to a 11-1 victory over the Rangers on Tuesday at Globe Life Park.
The Angels, getting home runs from Mike Trout and Andrelton Simmons, led 3-0 after the first inning and 9-1 after four in winning their second straight from the Rangers. They are 9-3 overall, matching their division-winning teams of 1979 and 1982 for the best 12-game start in franchise history.
The Rangers, once again falling behind early and unable to come back, are now 4-9 after losing for the fifth time in seven games.
