Here’s the link from MLBTR. Looks like last year’s surprise semi-hero will be donning another uniform as Billy Eppler has claimed Akeel Morris from the Braves and placed Troy Scribner on waivers.
Scribner put up a great win/loss record but his peripherals suggested he was the beneficiary of some good luck. Nonetheless he looked to be another Eppler waiver claim that turned into something useful.
Now the Angels will hope Morris will go from waiver claim to useful MLB piece. A former top prospect with the Mets, he has better peripherals in the upper levels of the minors but very limited MLB experience.
