Another offseason move that could potentially be a solid move was bringing in starting pitcher Alex Cobb. So far through three starts this spring, the 33-year-old owns a 2.35 ERA and his holding opponents to a .143 average.
On Monday, Cobb threw 3 2⁄3 innings, his longest outing of the spring. He allowed one run on two hits and struck out three. When speaking with reporters following his outing, he said that he didn’t feel he had his best stuff today.
“I came into the game feeling not sharp at all,” Cobb said.
