After another quiet weekend, questions persist about Angels offense

Johnny Giavotella was forced out as part of a double play in the eighth inning Sunday. The Angels lost 6-1 to the Boston Red Sox, scoring just four runs in the last two games.

BOSTON – The hope and good vibes the Angels generated with an everybody-hits, rollicking victory less than 48 hours earlier were drowned out with two days of harsh reality.

Their offense just isn’t good.

Not now anyway.

The Angels lost 6-1 on Sunday afternoon to the Boston Red Sox, scoring a total of four runs in dropping the final two games of the series after their 12-run outburst on Friday.
