2020 Angels in review: Kyle Keller

The Angels traded for Kyle Keller in January, acquiring the right-hander from the Marlins in exchange for minor league catcher Jose Estrada.

Keller’s time with the major league team was brief in 2020, spending most of his time at the alternate training site at Long Beach State. He was recalled three separate times — July 30, August 4, and September 5, but only spent a total of six days on the Angels’ active roster.

Keller pitched in only two games for the Angels this year, both in that first stint. On back-to-back days on July 30-31, Keller was brought into games late with a four-run deficit, and allowed a total of two runs in 2u2153 innings.
