2018 Angels and their inability to hit left handed pitching

The 2018 Angels have the 2nd worst batting average in all of baseball against left handed pitching. They are only hitting .220 compared to the Astros (who are first) at .277. The Mets bring up the rear with .217 AVG - just a hair lower than the Angels dismal performance.

In addition to the 2nd worst average, the the Angels have the worst BABIP vs. lefties which is .247. Their BABIP is .282 vs righties which is also below average, but a large improvement over their lefty numbers.

As expected, this also affects their run production which is 25th in all of baseball in terms of wRC+ at only 85.
