LIVERPOOL -- Paul Lambert believes his Wolverhampton Wanderers side deserved to knock Liverpool out of the FA Cup following Saturday's surprise victory in the fourth-round tie.
Richard Stearman gave Lambert's side the lead after just 52 seconds with a header from a free kick before Wolves doubled their lead with Andreas Weimann's goal off a rapid counter-attack.
Liverpool striker Divock Origi made it 2-1 in the 86th minute, but the Championship side held on to record their first-ever FA Cup win at Anfield.
"I thought we deserved it," Lambert told a news conference afterwards. "We really did.
