After enjoying a prolific start to the campaign at U23 level, the Welshman agreed a temporary switch to the Championship with the Tigers in January.
He subsequently flourished in England's second tier, netting seven goals in his 14 appearances under Nigel Adkins.
And now he is aiming to build on his productive Hull stay by impressing Reds boss Jürgen Klopp ahead of the 2018-19 campaign getting under way.
"It's what I wanted, to get out there and play some minutes in a tough league, and I managed to do that at Hull," he told Liverpoolfc.com.
"I feel when I played, I did well - that's what you want to be doing as a player, playing.
