Liverpool target Kai Havertz scored a headed brace as Bayer Leverkusen inflicted a heavy defeat on relegation-threatened Werder Bremen on Monday.
Bundesliga action continued behind closed doors at Weser Stadium and Havertz gave put the visitors in front on 28 minutes. Gebre Selassie responded immediately when he flicked in from a corner, but Havertz restored Leverkusen's lead three minutes later.
Mitchell Weiser and Karem Demirbay added gloss to the scoreline in the second half, the closing stages of which were played at a pedestrian pace as both sides began to tire.
