Liverpool star Mohamed Salah scored his 38th goal of the season for club and country, but it was enough to guide Egypt to victory against Portugal… thanks to Cristiano Ronaldo.
In this battle of Europe’s most in-form forwards, it was Ronaldo who came out on top in a late 2-1 win for the European champions.
Salah put Egypt ahead in the 56th minute with a deadly accurate curling strike from the edge of the box.
It looked to have given the Pharaohs a brilliant win, only for Ronaldo to step it up a gear with two stoppage-time headers.
