U16s link up with LJMU for media training

The club's head of education and welfare, Phil Roscoe, delivered a presentation at the university before the BA (Hons) Sport Journalism students then enjoyed a tour of the Academy.

The students then watched the U16s' 2-1 victory over Sunderland before a host of Barry Lewtas' squad then had their first experience of a press conference as they were quizzed by the students.

On the link-up with LJMU, Roscoe said: "It is brilliant for the club to be able to team up with Liverpool John Moores University for a project which is hugely beneficial to not only the club but the university as well.
