Two Football League matches have been postponed due to the arctic weather conditions.

Fleetwood's clash with Wimbledon and Chesterfield's match against Gillingham have both been called off after heavy snow storms.

Officials decided to call off the League Two matches this morning while Liverpool's clash with Manchester United was given the go-ahead after two safety meetings.

Liverpool is under an amber weather warning from the Met Office but it only took a yellow-tier caution for snow and ice to see Fleetwood's match at Highbury Stadium called off.

Meanwhile, a yellow warning for snow and ice, as well as an upgraded amber warning for snow alone, has been slapped on Chesterfield.
