The Dutchman is into the final year of his contract and is so far refusing to pen an extension.
It means the centre-back can leave for free at the end of the season and Liverpool are looking at snapping him up.
But, according to Calciomercato, Juventus are also tracking De Vrij and could move for him next summer.
Like Liverpool, the Italian champions have been alerted to the 25-year-old's contract situation and they are keen to bag a bargain.
However Juve are reportedly unwilling to sign De Vrij unless they can nab him for free, meaning Liverpool could win the race if they make a cash offer in January.
